By default, MessageDesk assigns you a temporary local area code number for the duration of your free trial.
At some point, we encourage you to connect a preferred phone number to your account.
You have 1 of 3 options for connecting a phone number in MessageDesk:
Keep your Temporary Phone Number:
Feel free to keep the randomly assigned phone number!
Connect Existing Landline or VoIP Phone Number:
Connect any U.S. or Canada-based VoIP or Landline phone number to MessageDesk.
Upon connection, you'll manage all SMS with MessageDesk. Your calling/voice features will not be disrupted.
How to connect an existing phone number:
Find a New Phone Number with Local Area Code:
You can search for a new local phone number with these steps:
Log in to MessageDesk
Click the Phone Number in the top-left corner of screen
Select "Get a new phone number"
Select "Choose new local phone number"
Type in an area code & select desired phone number
