Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Broadcast text message?

Broadcast text messaging is a popular way of sending a single text message to multiple recipients at once.

Is sending a Broadcast the same as a group message?

No, in a group message, every contact interacts with each other in a single thread. With a Broadcast, each contact receives a private text message.

How does Broadcasting work in MessageDesk?

MessageDesk allows you to Broadcast messages to large amounts of contacts. The upper limit of contacts you can reach once depends on your subscription tier.

When sending a Broadcast, you can select a pre-made group or individual contacts to include in your send. You can also select contacts and/or groups to exclude from your Broadcast.

Once you've selected your recipients, you can then choose to send the Broadcast right away or schedule it for another time.

How can I send a Broadcast?

Log into MessageDesk and navigate to Broadcast -> New Broadcast
